Hansen explained that the title belt would be placed in a locked box on the entrance ramp and the key would be on a chain hanging from the rafters. The first man to secure the key, make his way up the entrance ramp, and unlock the title belt, would be the LCW Heritage Champion, or, in his case, the new LCW Heritage Champion. Watts talked about Nikita Koloff talking about "killing the monster" earlier in the evening. Watts said Koloff wasn't a nightmare, he was a boring dream that made you wish you could fall off a cliff in the dream and never wake up for fear of falling asleep again and having it be a recurring dream. Watts said Williams was the nightmare, Williams was the animal hunting down his prey, Williams was the monster in the nightmare who was going to destroy Koloff. Gang reassured his partners that victory would be theirs tonight saying, "We have an ace in the hole, or should I say a Race in the hole." Harley Race approached the group and they all exited with smiles on their faces.
